Guiding Principles
Our
“soul star”
Nourish + Soul’s mission is to offer the very best handcrafted small batch artisan products. At our genesis, we knew we wanted to do things differently. As we promote and deliver on our mission to uplift and encourage women (+ girls) through the power of self-care + self-love, we use the following principles as our guide. This is our “Soul Star.”
In the day-to-day of running a successful business, these principles are at the root of everything we do.
BE TRUTHFUL:
We will truthfully, authentically, and transparently represent what we advertise by providing packaging & descriptions that clearly define product ingredients. We will not accept inferior products or anything of lesser value for the sake of making more money or misleading the women we serve. If the package says natural; it is natural.
REDUCE, REUSE, RE-PURPOSE, & RECYCLE:
We will look out for the world we leave our children. We will make every effort to provide as many products that are environmentally safe and that have ethically sourced ingredients. We will never test products on our animal friends nor carry brands that do. We will add as many measures as we can in how we operate our business so that we can be as sustainable as possible, thus leaving our world in better shape for our children.
DO THINGS SMALL:
We will support our local communities and the US by sourcing from other women owned or co-owned small businesses. The big-box guys already have it, so we want to partner with the unknowns and the not so known. We’ll bring women the very best products available in the small batch handcrafted natural body care product industry. This is so the little guys can have it too. Plus, supporting women is what we’re all about.
DO FOR OTHERS:
We will not only work to support our business, team members, and vendor partners but will look for opportunities to make a social impact in our community. We will give of our time, resources, and money to help effect positive change in our community and world. We believe at our core that we are not meant to do life alone. LEAD WITH INTEGRITY:
At the end of the day, whether it is seen or unseen, we will be proud of the work we do and the products we handcraft and sell. Our standard mode of operating, at ALL levels, will be one that leads our industry and sets an example that others want to follow and that they are measured.
LISTEN & COLLABORATE:
We will listen to our customers and product testers to help decide what product offerings get added to the Nourish + Soul brand. It is not just about what we like. The Nourish + Soul environment is one of collaboration and team work, so it was only natural to extend this to the customers we hope to serve.
USE OUR VOICE:
We will use our platform, no matter how big or small, to uplift, inspire, empower, encourage, and speak life into the lives of women (+ girls) we encounter. We believe in the rising power of women and think our voices should be acknowledged, respected, and heard.
